Needs Improvement

Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Rate

The department seeks a resuscitation rate of 25% for all cardiac arrest patients when CPR is provided.

The department performed slightly below its goal of 25% in fiscal year 2019. However, some dips in performance are to be expected and the resuscitation rate the department did achieve is consistent with or exceeds the national performance rate of cardiac arrest resuscitation

Next Steps

The Fire Department will continue to monitor patient outcomes and sustain the high quality of patient care that it believes has resulted in sustained success in cardiac arrest cases.
