Satisfaction with Overall Quality of Life in the City
To achieve 78% of residents satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of life in the City per the Resident Satisfaction Survey.
The percentage of residents who responded to the survey that were satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of life in Durham has slightly increased from 65.8% to 67% between 2017 and 2018. This performance measure has remained relatively stable over the past five surveys, with a high of 72% in 2015. The goal is to begin seeing steady increases over the next ten years by continuing to learn from the Resident Survey and apply those lessons to service delivery.
The City will continue to implement initiatives and programs that address City of Durham residents' top priorities as reflected in the Resident Survey and initiatives that support the goals of the Strategic Plan. As the City's customer service and service delivery continue to improve, so will residents' overall quality of life.
