The Career Center is actively seeking strategies to increase outreach to potential clients. Through an increase in the number of job fairs and other employment events, the Career Center is increasing opportunities for job seekers to engage with employers. Utilizing our business service representatives, we are instituting an outreach strategy targeting employers in designated career pathways to ensure employment for those actively attaining skill training and credentials. Also career counselors are partnering with external partners to provide service directly into the community. Career counselors are positioned at Durham Technical Community College and working with the Department of Social Services to extend outreach to those seeking career resources.
